BSE88 feels my pain. Indeed i'm here for a small period of time. But i do try to make it fair and square. And yes, the briefing and star rating issue is something i also don't understand for this contest.

The numers of contest he has won is no reason to disregard his opinion as he may been here just for a small period of time.

As for this contest, I still cant understand how a contest has been held without a correct brief and no star rating.

Nobody moaning around here. And the blog is just a small post noe even made by me. Still there are a lot of truths in there and i don't even havo to agree with them, i have experienced them.
If you wanto to go mass production be my guest. "Design" always the same and never evolve. I prefer to evolve myself. It ain't an "exercise" when people keep posting always the same graphics. It's just shooting in the dark.

@Daniel Silva...you have entered all of 6 contests and think that some blog you post will influence people to stop what they want to do? the way i see it is that every contest is a training excersize for all to take part in with a small bonus of getting paid for it. you cant moan at that!

It's a pity clients don't know how to distinguish a good from a bad design. Check http://www.contrast.ie/blog/on-99designs/ to know what i'm talking about because this was clearly one of those cases. As many more that there are out there.
One thing is certain: my seals wont be here for a third party to use or copy. And after the contests i'm in are over, i'm out of here to work where real design is given it's value.

Figures...this site really sends professional designers to a lower level. I'm sorry but people spend huge amounts of time making a concept and then someone with copied graphics comes along and snatches all the work. I mean there are some really nice designs here but seems that only consequent copies earn these contests.
It's really unprofessional to copy paste symbols that are worn out.
I speak for myself. And to the people who designed original seals here, you have my praise. Keep up the good work and never follow fashion tendencies. Design is about functionality, it´s not a beauty contest, or a cliché one, for that matter.

Don't forget gears too!

Working on it.. Steve I theres no need to get so confused. The 'Seal' is gained after taking the relevant tests - book could be used as some sort inspiration for the branding perhaps. Primary or secondary - it needs branding!
