Hey ell_z looks like you put your old logo idea from the evamor logo contest to good use.
#1 by samayloff, is by far the best choice, #45 by ella_z not bad.

I also think that requesting taglines shouldnt be a part of any contest since its against the rules... At least that was the case on Sitepoint.
INMHO logo should be perceptible in black&white even though its maybe used only for the web... Gradients, shadows and other kinds of effects are nice and I like them too but I dont see how Studio "B" logo and a lot of other ones can be used trough fax for example. 3D object with that kind of shadow makes it look unnatural. Moreover, never saw that kind of shadow usage in serious and professionally looking logos.
samiloff logo is looking really cool to me but kinda reminds me of Denver Water logo. Im not saying its the same just that the idea is similar.

All designers, I'm new and hadn't read this part. Can everyone comply?
Having a logo designed? If we were you, we'd ask for the art in a vector format like that produced by Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. You can resize vector graphics without any loss of quality — something JPG, GIF, TIFF and PNG files just can't swing.
I edited the contest rules to reflect this.
