Wow. You've made our decision really hard. I'm starting to eliminate some to cut it down to a manageable list. If you have two designs that are slight variations I'll be picking the one I like better and eliminating the other.

@Hooh and others -
Shape and colors are pretty much a match. Obviously the inside part is different. A little too close for comfort, so I'm eliminating them.

@< x-nor > - Sorry to do that to you. I really like your "PlanbookEdu.com" part. I hope that you will change up the book and re-submit.

Thanks again to everyone who has submitted. I would be happy with any of these as the new logo.

The star ratings the based my opinion alone, but the final decision will be influenced by others on the team as well as the actual users of the site. So it's certainly possible one with less stars right now may end up winning.

I do appreciate the time it took you. I left you comments in your design on why I gave it 3 stars.

As for it being copied by #9 I'm not really seeing it. The "PlanbookEdu.com" part is the same as <x-nor> has been using all along (see #5). The books themselves are kinda similar, but I reference a stock logo that I liked a lot that also has a similar book (http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/13072).

This is my first 99designs contest and I'm trying my best to do it the "right" way. I've been leaving feedback on every design and do appreciate everyone's work. I've been blown away by the quality of the entries so far.

Some general comments:
1) I generally prefer that the graphic and name appear on one line, but it really depends on where the logo is used, so it's not that big of a deal. Just in terms of the current website the are is better suited to a longer logo, then a taller one.

2) I'm not crazy about the circular shadows below the book. I think it bothers me that the shadow doesn't match the book. It can be left out.

I probably would have bought this one if I could have gotten an exclusive. I like the book. Not the pen so much since it's a website. Also our tool is more like a calendar (many boxes), so the lines in the book don't really fit.
