Design brief

Brief Overview

PlanbookEdu.com is an online lesson planner used by thousands of teachers each month. Our site has been around for 6 years, but never had an official logo. We're looking to change that.

Brand Name

PlanbookEdu.com

Target Audience

Our site is primarily for teachers, kindergarten through 12th grade. Also school administrators visit the site when deciding if it is a good choice for their school system.

Requirements

Our site is at http://planbookedu.com.

The new logo will replace the existing "logo" in the upper left. The new logo need not match the black/grey striped background - that will change to fit the logo.

The new logo should fit with the general color scheme of the site (minus the top bar), but can use colors not necessarily on the site now.

The logo should be easily adaptable so that it can be used as a Facebook or Twitter avatar, as well as a favicon. An example of what I mean by this is the Facebook logo, which has the main "Facebook" logo, but can use just the "F" for the favicon.

The logo should be clean, modern and professional - not clip arty.

I would like the ".com" to be included in the logo (ie "PlanbookEdu.com"), but it can be faded or subtler then the main text.
