We want to promote a site where people can earn money by taking various actions on the Internet. There will also be a component where they learn some of the principles of Shaolin.

We are envisioning an illustration of an old Chinese man with a long beard. He might be holding up a stack of money in one hand and doing a karate chop with the other. Or maybe that's too busy. That's where you and your creative spirit come in.

We want him to look fun and friendly and we definitely need to promote the money-making aspect.
The logo will probably end up being pretty kitchy (2. adj - quite cool, nifty, but still cheesy), and that's ok.
