Just wanted to drop a note...to anyone we have not left comment for yet, we are evaluating all the designs and working on giving feedback as quickly as we can. Unfortunately, time is limited. So our apologies to those we have been unable to get to yet.

We are thinking of visuals to express what we do that will avoid using typical film symbols (we may not be able to get around that but we'd like to try)...so we've come up with the concept of using the globe (this was inspired by a few designs which led us to think of this). Logo still needs to be predominately text based -- everything in the brief still stands. But cleverly working in a globe either next to or on top of the text or even underneath the globe is something we'd really love to see experiments with. Globe should look like a globe...not just a solid circle. Or should clearly imply that's what it is. Also, while everything in the above post and the brief still stands, please feel free to experiment with the globe colors. We're looking for it to pop while still being tasteful and not too much.

And we just want to thank all of you sincerely for great designs, great ideas and interesting solutions. You guys have done some really fantastic work!

For those who have been eliminated, it is not necessarily a reflection on your designs...we have practical considerations as well. For example, the design has to be clean and very easy to read. Highly complex designs (even if they do look cool) can sometimes he hard to read. We are trying to avoid that. We have given feedback to each and every designer. Please understand that our time is limited and we are doing what we can. We've eliminated the designs we aren't considering for various reasons...could be cause there is another design or designs by you that we think is/are stronger and those are the ones that are going to be in the running.

Please read the brief...it has been updated. Please stay away from film strips. We don't want them as part of the design. Keep in mind that a film reel is different from a film strip.

If we see a design that strikes us as having great potential or gives us ideas, we give feedback accordingly. The predominant colors we are looking for are all in the brief.

At this moment we feel the strongest designs are the following: #80, #91, #124 and #126. Yes, they all have the courier font. We are still open to non-courier submissions and we are also open to adding graphics and backgrounds to the designs if they have a strong, creative design element. Again, please read the brief.
