After a long day of deliberation on this logo competition, a winner has been chosen. The KSBIT team has chosen the entry by Sath's as the winner.

Ok, well looks like a change of plans here. A second ago submissions were still allowed, but I see now that you can no longer submit you entries. So, all we can do now is choose what we feel is the best entry and hopefully the designer can work with us on any small changes that we may have.

The contest has ended but given that we did not leave feedback today until late (contest only had 6 hours remaining) we want to at least give everyone time to make some revisions all of the entries that made it before the contest deadline are in and we will leave feedback tomorrow morning first thing around 9:00 am eastern standard time. Submissions from new entrants in which we have not specifically asked for revisions from will not be considered. If you've not been asked to revise your submission, please do not submit new entires. The most recent entry that we will accept is CreativeArchetyp's entry #360215. This is simply to ensure we are making the contest as fair as possible to those who have already been working with us the whole time.

LogoB: If 99Designs will allow it (I don't know because I've never been on the hosting side of the contests) I want to extend the contest for at least a day just to give everyone more time to make revisions. I know feedback was a little late today as we've been gone at a conference the last three days so we didn't get to meet up as we wanted to to discuss the logos.

I've emailed 99Designs about extending once the contest ends, but have not heard anything back (this was a couple days ago).

I'm definitely planning on giving you guys at least an extra day though.

Unfortunately I did not get the chance to meet with KSBIT Management over the weekend at our conference. I'm hoping to extend the contest maybe a day or so after end just to allow some revisions from some of our favorite entries. If this isn't possible, we'll pick our current favorite and likely ask for a couple small tweaks until we get what we want.

Thanks everyone for your patience and hopefully I can have some feedback for you tomorrow morning (although I realize is VERY short notice if you had an revisions in mind). I apologize for that.

Thanks everyone for the newest entries. I think we're finally getting closer to what the KSBIT Management team is looking for. Some of the new ones are really good in my opinion, but it will ultimately be up to the KSBIT team to decide (I'm just the middle man). I look forward to meeting with them today to go over some of the new ones and hope to have feedback for you later today. I'll try to provide as much feedback and as quick as possible so to give you all time to make revisions as the contest nears the end.

URGENT UPDATE:

After meeting with the KSBIT Management Team this morning, some more requests have been made.

1. Management would really like to see the main part of the logo say "KSBIT" with the tagline "KSBA's Insurance & Safety Solution" with a the blue and yellow color scheme (see comment above and full contest description for CMYK/HEX values).

2. Management would love to see a graphic/icon incorporated into the logo that either has to do with education (books, pencil, school house, etc.) and/or something symbolizing school saftey (the only thing we could think of was some sort of shield, but see if you can get creative.)

3. Management team was very solid in the decision to NOT have the logo include an apple. They feel that anything dealing with school usually has an apple and would like to try to get away from that. So, please no more designs including an apple.

4. You can view the Kentucky School Board's Association (KSBA) logo at http://test.ksba.org/images/logo.gif. It has been decided that the KSBIT logo should be somewhat inspired by this logo if possible (color scheme, etc).

We realize the KSBA logo isn't great, but it's all we have to work with right now and education may not be the easiest subject to design for but try to be as creative as you can and see what you can come up with.

Again, I'm very sorry for all of the updates to this contest, but I think everyone is now on the same page as to what they're looking for exaclty. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We do like a few of the current designs and we'll be leaving feedback here in just a bit, so keep an eye out for that.

Hello everyone. KSBIT Management has an additional request for the submissions. Since KSBIT is a service of KSBA (Kentucky School Boards Association), they are thinking that they want to keep colors consistent with that of KSBA's logo which utilizes the blue which is already outlined in the contest summary, and yellow:

C:4 M:0 Y:94 K:0
Hex: FFF100

If you can incorporate this yellow into your designs in some fashion, that would be great. If not, it's not essential, just would like to get an idea with the color in there. Feel free to continue to use any color combination that you like, but if possible, throw in a blue/yellow scheme as well.

We're off to attend a conference for the next three days, but have time set aside to review the entries with KSBIT Management, so we'll be taking a look at the entries today sometime and hopefully leaving feedback shortly there after.
