    A huge, gigantic THANK YOU to all participants. I am PSYCHED that there were so many good concepts and that we've ended up with 7 very strong contenders out of almost 500 total submissions.

    Fair enough. I know it's just the 'gears' of the system here that are grinding me up. I don't blame you personally - I think this is a good exercise for training my mind, but not a good venue for producing income. It's just too risky, too much time lost on jobs that will never pay out. It's a GREAT deal of the contest HOLDER though. Where else can you get 1000s of man hours by talented (albeit a little naive, underpaid) designers for pennies on the dollar?

    It only works because humans have an inherent nature for gambling and prize winning. It's not a good model if you ACTUALLY need to pay bills though. :) No hard feelings.... but I am thinking of another gig... say... a real job, with actual money attached to the work.

    Sorry that I wasn't able to provide useful feedback. At this stage of the game I'm not really thinking about new concepts unless they're really outstanding. If your designs came in a few days ago we might have had time for discussion, but right now I am just trying to tighten up the details of the strongest entries. Looking at your submissions as a whole, I don't think we have similar tastes/vision for the project. I appreciate the effort you put in, though, and wish you good luck on future contests.

    Hi Pixel, I tried to reply to your pm but it wouldn't go through and I don't want you to think I am ignoring you. I typically wouldn't say anything if the concepts were just similar, since designers can come up with the same ideas, but they are almost identical in their design AND execution, so they must be copies or from the same source file, and you are not the designer of the first, so it only leaves me to belive they are copies. If you could clear up the matter with another explaination, I am sure 99Designs would like to hear it. I hope it is true that they are just similar ideas, but they look too similar to me and so I had to say something to protect the CH from bearing the burdon of copywright infringements down the road. Sorry I had to post this in the comments, but the PM said that the file was sent to a folder that was not read by anyone so I had to post it here!

    I think I'm done trying. I just keep getting slapped down, and I don't know why, because the only feedback I get is 2 stars, and no chance to change or improve the design. I am out-a-here....
