Thank you all so much. Sorry to take so long to choose, I was truly stymied. If I had as many alter ego's, I'd take all you four star folks out to a great dinner and use all your logos from now until I couldn't write anymore...sigh.
Im in x
Gaaaaaaaaaaaack!!! I'm in love with so many!!!!!!! How is a girl to choose!?!?!?!? Can we just have a big logo orgy?????
I always wondered how you say Halloween-y...lol
Wow, I am still not caught up on all the feedback! My computer is reading some of these orange-reds as just slightly too orange-y so with black they look like Hallowe'en. I'll get caught up on the feedback soon, I promise. THank you for all your amazing designs! Warmly, Jill
I think I am changing my mind about the pink. I think the color in the final design needs to be a red, but not a staid American Flag red...more like an orange-y tomato red, like in the FedEx logo.
I love the jar of letters, and the idea of letters spilling in general, but my (admittedly nearsighted) relatives are telling me they cannot SEE the letters. My partner says it looks like a jar of pubic hair to him (!). I still love the letters, but I think he is right, it needs to be obvious to everyone that they are letters and not...well, anything else (-:.
JenMarc, Faya and BeeOsx, you all have me thinking hard! Your designs are bouncing around in my mind like electrons, and my imagination wants to try to put some of those elements together. As I said on your entry, Bee, I LOVE that you got bold and put Faya's letters idea in with something similar to what Monger4 had done. HOwever, inside the glasses has just the tiniest bit of creepy in it for me, like a robot gone awry or something. But the IDEA of including the letters really got me going! Like a swoosh of those letters culminating in the text logo with glasses...or the logo sitting in a bowl of letters. Uh-oh--see what happens when writers start thinking visually? I'd better leave it to the professionals...
I am touched and a bit overwhelmed by all of the outpouring of talent and dedication to beauty and excellence. Every single one of these designs would be perfect for *someone*. The trick is trying to distill what is perfect for *me,* when even *I* am not exactly sure. You designers have a hard job, trying to wrap your brains around what it is people want when so often we cannot even say it, and on top of that, it changes! I think part of the challenge here, for me anyway, is that I am branding MYSELF in addition to my business. I don't want to be JUST authoritative or JUST quirky or JUST...anything, really. However a logo is only so big. I think this is why I am gravitating toward the jar of letters--it signifies the possibility that I can be anything, and that the "anything" can be spelled out with words. Still reductionist in a sense, but also replete with possibility. I am also loving where people are going with trying to pull in the amazing elegance of the red-and-black text only logo with some of the other elements I am rating highly. Again, I am very moved by all the talent and possibility here--you all rock!!!
What I want to know is how the heck does anyone pick a single design among so many contenders???
I so appreciate all the effort and talent here! Choosing how to represent oneself to the world, especially when it is actually oneSELF as opposed to a business entity, is proving quite challenging. I think something is emerging, though. I am trying to provide feedback to everyone who has taken the time to enter, as I truly respect the effort it takes to put an idea on the page. Again, my deepest gratitude to everyone.
