Yes happy with those two designs is there any chance to have the orange design a little stronger colour on the "preparation" only a bit . Does not stand out that well.
If you are happy for us to have both designs I will send you the money via paypal.

Well, can't you see that all "negative" comments are written by designers who entered less than 10 contests??!!
I am sorry mates, but you are still newbies here, so you'll learn as the times go by to respect: first your fellow designers and after that CHs... Attitude is quite important as well...
let me say one good sentence: "there is no second chance, for first impression"
So, be quick to submit your works, don't wait the last moment. It's always better to impress CH at the very beginning! I've experienced few contests where I thought I had better works than winning entries, but I just was a bit late...
If you enter contests you should be aware of that! otherwise don't waste your time on contests, better find regular clients...
Another thing: Latin sentence says: "De gustibus non est disputandum" (There’s no disputing about taste) so, you better find another contest and design! you'll all win once, just design, don't waste your your time on: "OMG what did they awarded... and similar things" Just READ THE BRIEF CAREFULLY and try to answer that, and enter as many contests as you can. You'll see that someone will pick you ;)

I'm sorry, but when I saw the winning design it took me a while to realize what is going on. It looks more like a sumo wrestler bent over and his cheeks are the spotlight of the logo. IMO.

P.S. And it was actually not that far off from the winning proposal.

I don't understand why a CH would the contest early. I was working on a proposal and I had put a lot of time into it. His loss.

Relax everyone...it's work but it's also really fun :)

While the contest holder has every right to do whatever they want, closing a contest early shows little understanding and consideration towards designers. It would have been appropriate to see "all" the designs for this contest.
Anyway, on the positive side, I have a great logo to put in the portfolio.
Good job to all the designers.

I write this rather critical comment in hopes the CH will see this and understand that Designers at sites like this are at a disadvantage and CH's honoring their own stated opening and closing dates goes a long way in showing respect to the many designers who were enticed by this contest. The CH's comment "I ended the contest to save you all from useless rework and new designs." shows a lack of understand of the design process. If the CH was working with just one designer would they have told him or her the same thing? Very doubtful. Hopefully next time the CH's considerations will be more encompassing.

It was really a challenging and contest! ;)

It was a good contest. I am glad i got one in before it ended and hope it was considered judging by the stars it received. The CH did thank everyone and i think the other half of that comment was directed to the complainers. They picked a cool design and it was not abandoned. That is what we all hope for, right? I hope they come back for another go.
