lots of great entries here. There's a clearly great design and we didn't want to make people put in extra work by stretching this out. Thank you all.
A designer pointed out some features of the site I was unaware of. I will avoid giving feedback on individual designs to the group and am eliminating designers if they repeatedly/widely miss the instructions.
Hints for winning:
1) stay simple. If you can't see the design while squinting, it won't win.
2) Be original. Everyone learns from each other, but stay clean. A design that is too derivative will not beat the original, even if better.

#19 - black also plays on "wheel" and biking is a secondary market. However, thickness right now could make one think of a car tire - and "roadbud" could be taken as a sort of AAA.
Would the logo work with the outline closer to roadbike thickness? Or with a knobby mountain bike tire?

#16 - there's something here, but it's quite right. I like how you played with the "R". But with the dot, it can be read sort of as a person about to jump into a pool while sitting.
#15 - Something here too, but not quite recognizable yet. The ball looks a little like an alien head to me.
#19 - nice. The black background evokes "road" a little. It also "butches up" the design just the right amount.
#5 is nice good job!
#13 - ignore c; I can imagine/move to different location as needed.
#13 - I screwed up your original idea by adding "help". The original one looks better/cleaner.
It's going to be placed on the website (probably with current colors).
a) will this look ok on a blueish background (asking; I don't know answer)
b) maybe put some sort of border around design so it can be placed on background easier (example which may be a very dumb idea: black circle enclosing white background)
c) maybe place "roadbud" to side - I want to compress the header if possible
#7 The running girl (from the home page) hits my taste as a picture. However, she's too complex to transform to an icon.
#5 - I want the product to appeal to women, but I don't want to turn off guys either. Is there anything that you can do to butch it up? Don't ruin your terrific design by adding a Van Halen logo, but consider if it can be moved in that direction.
#5 - YES. Can't say whether this will beat others that come later, but the logo rocks. Simple, clean, plays on rosebud.
