- Brief Summary
-
Careers for Women & Men is an executive search firm specializing in Executive Sales and other related categories: Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations. We are looking for a new logo that is distinctive, clean, and professional. We would like to emphasize the “Careers for Women” as primary and the “& Men” as secondary in the logo.

Careers for Women (and Men)
- Description
-
We have not been consistent in the presentation of our company name. We were founded as Careers for Women but later added, in some applications, “& Men,” to reflect the fact that 40% of our placements are men. That being said, our primary focus and, we believe, an important point of differentiation is our focus on Women. We would like our new logo to reflect that: Women are primary; Men are integral but secondary.
The firm was founded 35 years ago with the attention-getting premise that “The born salesman isn’t a man, she’s a WOMAN.” Today, we not only place women (as well as men), we advance their careers, providing coaching, advice and counsel. All the services to the women (and men) who come to us are free.
Who we are: Practical, business-savvy, expert, supportive, dedicated
Our style: Personal, nurturing, comfortable/accessible, genuine, enthusiastic, discerning
What we do: Coach, mentor, teach, guide
Quotes from our candidates and clients:
“Careers for Women & Men is different; it doesn’t feel like a regular head-hunting company. They advise you and find what really fits, providing career counseling and getting involved. They’re not just trying to place you anywhere. They’ll help you find best fit and set you down right path.”
“Careers for Women & Men pays a lot of attention to candidates and clients- maintaining good relations and staying in touch. The firm is personable, attentive—and clearly has the best interest of everyone in mind and helps everyone.”
Details of Logo Design:
-Color: 2/C (for cost reasons), must be able to replicate in black and white. Most communications are online, with a few key printed pieces.
-Name: Careers for Women & Men, with a hierarchy of communications: “Careers for Women” primary; “& Men” is secondary (possibly on a different line, diminished in size, etc.)
-Key applications: website, signage, and stationery (business card and letterhead, used for communications and direct mailings.) Note: Prefer to see application to stationery, particularly business card as it is a primary, and the smallest, communication component.
-NOTE: Prefer “&” symbol to written “and,” however open to either if treated as a graphical component
