Considering that we have expanded this contest to include a mascot, I have upped the reward to USD $300.

Ok, I'm going to narrow the field down to the top 5. I like where many logos are going and encourage designers to take cues from the top 5, popular anime, etc. to come up with a brand image that is strong and memorable. Again, I would very much like to see a mascot that can accentuate the brand name. Examples of how the mascot could be used throughout the site (two or three poses) would be highly encouraged.

I'm very pleased with the way many of the logos are developing.

NOTE: if an artist can create a clean, workable mascot, their is definitely future opportunity to do design and illustration work for the web site to use the mascot throughout the site and in advertising.

Simplicity is the rule. The brand name (ANIMERCHANDISE) should be the emphasis, the mascot should accentuate the brand name.

Please keep in mind that this is an online Japanese Anime store. The site name is a combination of Anime + Merchandise. The logo should reflect the style and fun of Japanese animation.
