The internal competition produced a "Favourite", however the MD (being the MD) said he didn't like any of them. So apologies to the winner that their logo won't actually be used in the real world, however as competition winner they will still of course be paid their fee.
Hi, any update?
Have emailed the client to ask them to choose a winner as the contest needs to be closed and the winner paid. I will feed back here when I know what their choice is.

Hi everyone.
Apologies for the delay in the response, I'm responding to tell you the full situation.
The deadline was for Monday as the Logos were taken with me to the client. The two people from my client who reviewed the logos agreed there were far too many quality ones to make an all out choice. Instead, this coming Monday, a 2 day period of "voting" will take place with the company, in which the logos that have been approved (I shall amend this later to reflect which ones these were) are voted and commented on by the companies representative.
The competition will close Tuesday at the company, at which point the final logo choice will be run past the MD. I will express the need for a quick decision from him so the winner can be paid. If he makes no decision or stall, the logo voted as top by the employees will win the contest, irrelevent if the boss likes it or not.

another one bites the dust.. I think 99 Design should be changed to FREE LOGOS, Come and get em'!
Seriously.. I think only guranteed clients (ie pre-paid) should be worked on. Just my 5c

I agree... I fine this a lot of fun and keeps my creative juices flowing.
You know, not all graphic design jobs are fantastic, I'm a freelancer and lucky to be in regular work, some of which is GREAT, but the bread and butter stuff is boring, so sites like this at least give me the opportunity to get paid for something I like doing. Just enjoy it for what it is...You get the opportunity to show off your work and see other people's. :0)
