Thanks for taking the time MJ. Sorry for being slow on the up-take: now I/we know you care. That means alot. Cheers and best of luck with the legal stuff.

I was not going to waste my energy until the problems are taken care of and a winner is chosen, but what you say bothers me Steve.

So...you're saying im so superior and things i do are more important than others...okay...im sure we all like to make assumptions and im sure we can all agree that assumptions/expectations are not always the best things.

    So....
Why did I give almost-instant feedback at the beginning until an 'event-whichidrathernotdiscussbecauseitspersonal' happened?
Why did I make it clear that I will distribute funds regardless if the logo is used...so nobody would feel their time was wasted?
How many people do that sir?
Why did I make it clear that there will be a winner?

An issue of respect...if you respected me steve, you would have respect my word...because a which was "there will be a winner."

I already apologized for feedback, and of course I'd be glad to apologize again, its just one of those bad events that occured where feedback could not be left and updates were sparse....there was nothing negative said....
I believe when I look at my contest page, it says "Please ensure you provide feedback at your earliest convenience."
Again i believe i explained, it couldnt be done...apologies were made.

One man that I do respect is Bob, who sent me a nice message to remind me just in case I forgot about the contest. What i do not respect is the messages right after containing profanity and other things that were not needed...and very unappropriate from others.
Do I agree with everything Bob does/says about pathliner/other issues? No...but I respect the man just 'cause.

Trust me, probably about 60%+ of the contests that I have entered have been abandoned, even some where my work was stolen and used later. More on Respect...I respect everyone on Sitepoint for what they do. I respect Sitepoint, its rules, regulations, and the opportunity they have given us all.

However, in the event in which feedback cannot be left or winners cannot be chosen right away...should the contest holder be pestered, and sent messages that are not appropriate? It might be one of the reasons why some people decide to just....split? I clearly explained the situation, and being a man of my word...again I will say "there will be a winner."

Bob - I know where you're coming from and thank you for your comments/messages, but do not bring the words professional/amateur in this :). I can go on...and...on about being professional. This is sitepoint, some of us keep it strictly pro..and some of us like to have fun.

"Awww, did I hurt your feelings?" & whiner comment...It was a joke, and sorry if people laughed at your expense, I apologize.

***everyone else - You all are awesome-amazing-talented people and thank you again for sticking through this mess:). There will be a winner. Let's put it this way, legal issues should be resolved monday due to the fact its the first business day of the week, tuesday we will have a winner, for sure.

One last thing, stick around if you like....leave if you want.
...but I don't think I would be responding if I did not care.

    God Bless & Take Care

"Awww, did I hurt your feelings? There was a major problem..."

    MJ,
I know you. You're one of those superior guys, guys who's lives and problems are are bigger than the rest of us. Regardless, you did enter into an agreement with Sitepoint and the rest of us: Sitepoint rules clearly stipulate that feedback is to be given to each submission, that feedback is to be constructive and, if it can't be entirely positive, it needs to at least be not negative. It all boils down to respect.

Unfortunately I see many contests on here being abandonded everyday. I've seen contests from months ago which still haven't chosen a winner. SOMEHOW I feel this contest is one of them...

    MJ,

With all due respect MJ, I think if you were a professional you
would have been forth coming with this information about your
client as well as forthcoming with feedbacks. Your comment above
about hurting feelings and the false slip of tongue on whiner
is not appropriate nor professional. Waiting to inform members
of a problem way past the contest deadline ended only raises
red flags and point to foul play in your actions. Lurking on
and off without comments after the contest is over makes it look
suspicious to say the least. I hope you resolve your issues with
your client and yourself and next time be more forthcoming with
feedback and updates and more professional then amateur. Something
    to think about.

    ~Bob

Saying 'aw, did I hurt your feelings' is quite rude.

Its good practice as well as good manners to inform all participants if there are any problems, in good time.

Awww, did I hurt your feelings? There was a major problem with the client that may involve legal issues with the logos that has been keeping me busy. Apparently someone (possibly the client) attempted to get them printed and the printer contacted me because they were watermarked in a way so they could not be printed & with my contact info. With that aside, the client has had possible breach of contract...among other things. It is a big problem and will be solved either way. It's an on-going problem that makes designers such as PathLiner put placeholders and such.

Like I said, there will be a whiner...I mean winner. If I have to drop the $$ with no client to make my point clear, I will.
Thank you for your patience and your work is appreciated.
If you want to leave, leave.
If you want to stay, stay.

    Regardless, everyone is appreciated
    MJ

I'm outa here. Likely wouldn't have won this one however, it's just plain rude not to leave some sort of feedback to each designer. Or, at least keep a running dialogue in the general forum section. It shows no gratitude whatsoever to all those who put in time and effort and is certainly not the way outsource yor work.

Wow, I decided to see who won on this one and see it has been
abandoned by the host as it seems. I hope a winner is chosen in
the end. To bad Path's design can't win as the Withdrawing an
entry is permanent and all enties must be visiable to and posted
and place holders are not acceptable. Mods decree on this was
made awhile back on another contest. Well I'm sure this will be
totally closed in a day or so by the mods if a winner is not
picked. I had fun on this contest but never thought it would take
over 36 hours to pick a winner ontop of the 36 hour deadline!
