- Lillie’s is a very popular, upscale Victorian-themed bar and restaurant in New York City, centrally located at Union Square in Manhattan. The establishment is named after Lillie Langtry, a beautiful 19th century socialite who came to NYC from Ireland. The Irish owners have gone as far as importing historic Victorian-era antique carvings and bar ornaments to make Lillie's a true Victorian establishment. Words to describe Lillie's would be... Victorian. Classic, but not boring. Stylish, but not trendy. Sophisticated. Confident. Authentic. Seductive. Friendly. What we are not: We are not a "College Irish Bar", nor are we a trendy bar.

- Target Audience
- Professionals in their mid 20s and 30s that work in media, fashion and advertising. They have above-average incomes, and are attracted to Lillie's because it is a beautiful establishment that is both upscale and friendly. Our customers like to come to Lillie's because it's a great place to bring co-workers after work for a drink or dinner, or to meet new, interesting, successful New Yorkers.
- Requirements
- Develop an identity set for Lillie’s. Please design the following complimentary identity assets: -a main logo for multi-purpose needs -a smaller .gif icon (for online use), -a “profile” version of the logo for social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter As much as possible the logo should represent both the establishment and Lillie Langtry herself. Please go to the website to learn more. The final identity assets will eventually be used to develop new print and web assets (letterhead, postcard, business card, flyer, drink coaster, social media profiles and website backgrounds) so PLEASE INCLUDE A FONT AND COLOR SCHEME RECOMMENDATION. We will hold a separate design competition for our print and web design needs, but if you demonstrate strength in these areas we may decide to hire you for our print or online needs as well. The identity design should visually communicate or represent the following words and phrases: Victorian-era. Classic, but not boring. Stylish, but not trendy. Sophisticated. Confident. Seductive. The final identity assets will need to be delivered in original, hi-res, layered format AND as web-optimized jpegs or gifs with and without transparent backgrounds to facilitate future usage.
