Thanks babakonda :)
Thank you, and congrats to the winner. :)
Congratulations to Seltzer for the win. Sorry for delay everyone lots of back and forth with client. We will have additional contests soon would love to work with GCSGCS, Rokac, Fourth Design and Babakonda in the future - All of you are very talented - in the end the Client preferred Seltzer's work, but you all did well!
Great work finalists! I will review with client Tuesday and make final decisions with them. Thanks for your efforts. All of the work is excellent - at this point it just comes down to what the clients feel most comfortable with.
Thanks A.:)
Good luck, Rokac! :)
Rokac, gcsgcs and Seltzer,
First, thank you for your patience! Almost done.
The client would like to see a design representing the best of each of your submissions.
All: Remember, we need 2 final designs: logo (#26, #14, #9) and an icon version (#11). Even though #7 could only be used in certain situations due to it's width (think menu header), client was impressed with overall look. Would love to see how rokac and gcsgcs could extend their designs for more impact for menu-like design needs.
#26 (gcsgcs)
Pro: background design, "Victorian Establishment" design work
Con: font feels too masculine/loud. Needs to be more elegant, feminine.
#7 (seltzer)
Pro: color scheme and the elegance of the ornamentation and font
Con: would like portrait more oval, like #26. #7 would look great as menu head, but is too wide for general use. Need #9 but with "Lillies" and "Victorian Establishment" for general use.
#18 (rokac)
Pro: impressed with overall design skills and detail. like ornamentation around portrait.
Con: color schemes too dark. would like colors more like #26 or #7. very interested in how this would look with extended ornamentation like #7 for use as the header of a menu but in your style. would prefer a more elegant or feminine font.
Thanks to all of the designers for their work. Very impressed with the submissions. My client likes aspects of designs from #26, #18 and #7. We would like these 3 designers to work on one final submission reflecting a combination of these designers before selecting a winner. I will work with these 3 designers to provide final feedback. Thanks again to all - outstanding work.
Good luck to all!
Thank you YnM Creations for blatantly copying our design.
The client will be unavailable to review final design recommendations until next Wednesday, so we will extend the contest until then. Thanks to all the designers for their great work to date.
The contest holder has extended this contest to 10 days.
We've updated the brief. Ideally we want the logo to represent both Lillie's the establishment and the essence of Lillie Langtry the person. Please review the current website www.lilliesnyc.com to learn more about the bar and the history of Lillie Langtry. We will be overhauling the website, so do not be influenced by its style. The primary change to the brief is that the logo does not necessarily have to include the portrait of Lillie's herself.
Hi Rokac,
Please go to the website www.lilliesnyc.com for additional photos. The logo will be used for many things: brochures, flyers, menus, business cards, etc. Ideally the logo is a simple extension of the portrait of Lillie herself - so I guess it would be about how you design around the portrait to give it style and substance per the brief. The brand name is "Lillie's" and it is a Victorian Establishment.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Hi there.
Just a few questions:
1. Can you please provide some photos of your bar? So I can
match the look of the logo with the inner design of your bar.
2. Is this logo going to be used as your main logo? The one at the entrance(on a window,door...)
3. Please can you explain a bit more the "brand name" part in your brief. It's a bit confusing:)
