Many, many thanks to all of you who took part in our contest. Thank you for your hard work and effort. As you may have seen we have awarded olesolo and wingers as joint winners of our logo contest and Pueng as our homepage design winner. We were so impressed with the quality and number of entries we have decided to award three runner up prizes of US$100 each to the following three designers for their efforts: dementer, shearyadi and olesolo. You will be able to see the logos and homepages on our live site in February next year. By the way - just to let you know, we have decided to extend the homepage design contest for a further 4 days in order to give our contestants more time.

In order to help any homepage design entrants - please note that we plan to use the "fingers" of Olesolo's selected winning design above Winger's "snagsta".

We will also change the colours of the logo and will probably go with a white, purple, grey and black look - for a reference of the purple colour we most like, please refer to the excellent logo designs sumbitted by Entz and Lindabraun.

The homepage design competition is still open. We have updated the brief slightly but wanted to draw your attention to the following point:
we really like the way the boxes/panels appear ‘lifted' off the background (using shadowing) by lastfm (e.g. http://www.last.fm/dashboard/)
We like how the body text appears on white panels on a darker background (grey is good but other colours might work too?).
Again, we don't necessarily like the pink, we just want one strong main colour.

i notice that a lot of you have chosen green for us - which is fine, but please don't feel you have to use green. we like other colours too!

wow, you guys are doing great with the logos - we love what is coming in. really looking forward to seeing your home pages too though!

and sorry, it's a no for us on western union or credit card.

thanks so much to all of you who have submitted designs for our contest so far. we have added some individual feedback but wanted to highlight one thing as a general comment...

although we like the idea of emphasing the "snag" part of snagsta, we would rather not seperate the word or make the two parts look too different. at the end of the day, we want people to read it as one word.
