Design brief

Brief Overview

I am a long-time product manager who got tired of using Excel to manage his products. I taught myself programming and bunch of other things to build the product I really wanted. Now I want to share it with others.

Brand Name

Pypelyne

Target Audience

Software product managers, designers, IT professionals, and engineers would be the primary audience. These folks will probably be from the consumer internet software space (think eBay, Twitter, Facebook types) and so we need to create a logo that has that kind of consumer appeal but equally balances the fact that this application is a serious application that they would use to do their jobs for effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

The application can be found at http://www.pypelyne.com
(Click "Try the Live Demo")

I am deeply invested in the orange/yellow/gray color scheme that you see in the website and the application. The black is negotiable I think.

I really can't change the look and feel of the application itself so the logo has to work with that gray / silvery theme with light gray or very dark gray accents.

I don't want cartoon or clip art.

I want to communicate an idea of slickness, organization, order, and "flow".

The product is to manage roadmaps and pipelines. Would love see how you'd communicate that via a graphic if possible at all. Abstractions would be fine.

I'm trying to be like Mint (www.mint.com) for product managers.

Nothing ornate or baroque please. I want to use this on the website and business cards.

Thanks!!!
