By using the Locust Valley Coffee trademark we will be creating an image that our coffee is part of an era when the North Shore of Long Island, New York was referred to as the “Gold Coast”. Locust Valley, Glen Cove and Lattingtown were at the center of the “Gold Coast” and many mansions were built for the nations wealthy and famous.
Who does not remember the Maxwell House jingle that ended with the line “......a better coffee than a millionaire's money can buy; and we will be selling our “Gold Coast” quality coffee to the public at prices cheaper and fresher than the supermarkets.
Our target market is John/Jane Q. Public via the Internet. Whether the public is looking for quality or price we are offering both.
One additional thought - please be sure to provide a version of the logo on a white background. While colored backgrounds are helpful, we're not yet sure of the color scheme we will use for the Web site design, so it's helpful to see how the logo looks standing on it's own with no background color (or white background color).
