Ability Catcher
The purpose of Ability Catcher is to embrace the Native American tradition of storytelling, mix it with technology and social innovation, and use the stories of those who are doing very well navigating disabilities. I will be doing everything from putting on conferences, writing children’s books, donating collections to museums, and doing advocacy work. My aim is to break traditional stereotypes that people with disabilities carry.
I was thinking of incorporating a Dreamcatcher with a modernized handicapped logo if there is an illustration incorporated in the mix. Not just a standard handicapped logo, but one where the person is transcending their disability (but not so obvious as stepping out of their wheelchair.) I am open to different interpretations.

If you use a dreamcatcher, please don't make the feathers really long. Also, if it works out properly, I would like to have dreamcatchers made that for gifts for people I work with. I uploaded some Native American logos I found. They are just hints and suggestions. The "scarf.jpg" file shows a combination of colors I love. The "download.jpg" image is of a pictograph I took a photo of. I love the turquoise figure on brown/tan. I don't know if that would work, but thought I would send it out there for inspiration.
