We are now approaching the 48 hours mark. We have received some great designs. The logos are looking really nice. For those who have submitted designs or those that want to submit more designs:

* Consider a design that plays on the words New, Path, Discovering. Try to incorporate that into the company name.
* We were surprised that no one has used the concepts of paths in the woods, footprints, etc.
* Something completely different from the concept of path

3 days left for this contest. I have been keeping up with the comments and recommendations to designers. I'd love to see your design ideas for our logo. This is guaranteed contest so 'give it shot.'

I received some good private feedback. Most designers think it is completely appropriate to eliminate designs I don't like.

So...here is how I will proceed:

I will typically keep at least one design from a designer. Basically, their BEST design for this contest. Any that I definitely don't like, I will just eliminate. That way, at the end, I will have the best designs from many designers.

Designers, if you don't have enough feedback from me, please just ask me.

Thanks for the feedback on "eliminating designs". Here is what I'm doing to help my self and the designers:

1) 2-3 stars if I think the design is potential for our company
2) 1 star if I don't think it is in the running at all
3) I'm giving feedback frequently on almost all designs. As many more come in, I may not be able to keep up.
4) I will save the 4-5 stars after I have narrowed down my picks.

If anyone has a better method, I'd love to hear from you. I'm trying to help the creative designers succeed with frequent and frank feedback.

Hope this helps the designers to adapt and stay in the 'game' of getting a great logo.

I need another piece of feedback. Is it alright or offensive for the CH to eliminate designs that I definitely don't like. I want to narrow the field by working with the designers to improve the designs down to 1-2 per designer. Then, I just want to eliminate some of their designs that I don't like. Feedback???

Designers, I am really seeking a great Logo. Based on feedback from designers, I have done the following:

1) THIS IS GUARANTEED MONEY NOW
2) I have raised the prize money by $150 to $451.
3) I'm only asking for a LOGO now
4) I'm not asking for a banner
5) I changed the title, subtitle, and brief requirements to reflect a contest only for a banner.
6) In fairness to previous submissions, I have extended the contest by just 2 days (ending around noon Eastern time on Sunday)
