Actually... =) you don't get as many options to choose from when you go with one designer. Putting the project out to 30 different designers gives you many different flavors to choose from. Anyone with half a brain could figure that out.

"Word art" is the part of a logo that has nothing to do with the image but is directly relating to the text in the logo. I hope that clarifies things for you.

A couple things real quick....First, thanks to all the designers. I'll be reviewing the entries and making my decision over the next day or two. Second, I think it's unfair for certain individuals to attack me concerning my desire to see quality work for my $100 investment. ALOT of people wish they could make that for a full 8 to 12 hour job here in the US. In other countries that's good money for a WEEK's work. =| So unless you're putting in at least half that time I don't expect any complaints. I'm a designer, this is what I do. If it looks like crap, I'm going to let you know. I'm astonished sometimes that entries are even submitted by individuals who clearly took no thought or time to throw something together. I know MANY excellent designers that will do excellent work for around $100 and provide me with multiple logos. The only reason I go with sitepoint is because I can usually have a few more good designs to work with. I'm pretty sure that the people complaining are from the US. I'm not looking for your entries. I'm looking to send my money out of the country where it's appreciated more and people are willing to do decent work in return for decent pay. So if you have a problem, go submit your designs on contests paying what you think is fair for your efforts.

"Gids" when you have the talent to demand more than $100 for your entries, I'll award you with a win and a bonus.

"Jwolfe" you would be lying if you told me that you spent more than 10 minutes working on the entry you submitted to this contest. hmmm $600 a hour... I don't think so...

Good idea Jwolfe... I guess this genre of design is a bit harder to develop ideas for. What I'm seeing I'm not particularly crazy over, but some of the best designs are by "Mogeek," "Mickoso," "Demonhale," "Jacedesign," "Sebbdesign," and "Anahaw." Everything else is less than appealing. I'll reject all the designs that I won't be considering tomorrow. I need someone else to take a look at what I have here first.

As far as direction, I kinda wanted something modern. If you check out "uhlats" and his contest entries, you'll see what I'm looking for. I'm not sure how else to describe it.

I like "v_lad's" use of angels with trumpets. Just with a modern twist on it maybe? and use of some reflective shadows perhaps?

Anyway...I've run a few contests here and someone has always impressed me...I'm still waiting, but I trust it will happen before this contest ends, and I'll be able to pick a winner.
