Thanks Veggie1232! Nice contest.
Congrats on your win!

This was a VERY hard decision! We came down to a final four including P1Guy, bearbrick, graneydesigns and sigode. Ultimately, the entries were so different that direct comparison became extremely difficult.
Thank you all for your creativity, we really enjoy seeing your talent and skill at work and congrats to sigode!

I felt compelled to comment on your comment - your mountains are awesome! Nice work, especially if that was your first time developing mountains!

Thanks for your submissions - you've made this a difficult decision! Each entry has a different take on the theme which makes them unique and very difficult to compare and contrast. I think we'll be using the "format" of the design as a large basis in our decision making process.
The contest ended a few hours ago and it's getting late here. We'll come back and review the entries again in the morning and will announce the winner sometime later tomorrow.
Thanks again!
I have to say to all this is and was the one contest I had fun with cause this was my first time creating a mountain for a design. I am glad I took part in this one as it has been a learning experience if not anything else. Good luck to all on here as this is a good one!

wiseguy it is not clipart, each designer has recreated the Contest holders cabin.
nevermind just found it...
Gotcha, now as far as the link to the cabin clipart, wher can I find that? I searched for it earlier but had difficulty locating it.
Good question, wiseguy. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I have a simple/clear answer. I would like something clean - not too complicated. However, I prefer a bit of detail in both the mountain peaks and the trees. I posted a link near the top of this comment area that shows trees that I really like. And I'd like the mountains to have some texture in the snow-capped peaks.
But, I'd like to maintain an overall simplicity.
Do you think that's possible? :)
I have a question for the contest holder, do you prefer the logo to be very detailed as far as it showing good detail in the texture of the background, or are you asking for something much more simpler and cleaner?
Need to get caught up again - sorry all. Was without internet for the weekend. Will be on tonight.
As for the cabin "clipart" - I posted a link to a photo of the cabin that people are using to develop their logos if they choose.
Thanks!
why are all of you guys using the same clip art image for the cabin?
I didn't have time for feedback last night, sorry. I'll try to work it in at lunch if I can, otherwise I will get caught up this evening (US time). Thanks!
Okay, I finally got individual feedback entered - sorry I was so far behind! I think there were a ton of really cool logos submitted, but some didn't quite have the feel we are going for....woodsy and mountain-y with a little bit of rugged thrown in.
Also, the mountains in our area are a bit more rugged and typically snow-capped year around, so I'd like to depict that if possible. The draw in our area is a major ski resort, but I think by keeping a lot of green combined with snow-capped mountains we can have a logo that feels like winter or summer.
Here is a link to a photo of our cabin in case this provides any inspiration for anyone - it's not a very good photo, but gives a general idea of shape and surroundings. The logo definitely does not need to match the house and it's surroundings, but I thought it might help to provide the feel that I'm thinking of:

Thanks again for all the creativity in your submissions! This is a lot of fun to watch!
agree with you... P1Guy's design really cool ^^
love it
