Arron, I guess you learn something everyday. :)
I always have seen them as 16x16, maybe it's different for browsers or something else. =/

Thank you all for participating in this contest. I'm very impress with the quality and quantity of the submissions. Unfortunately, I can only choose a winner and that is a difficult choice among so many great designs. I really which I could afford to award the price to several of the participants but my budget doesn't stretch that far.
To help with the decision process I have enslisted several of my scrapbooker friends and that is delaying a little bit the final decision. But this decision is being made and I will post it tomorrow.

Gradient fills must be okay after all based on star ratings, which is contrary to your design brief.

agree with other designer you want scrappy not scrapy...and that will cost you my consulting fee :)

A few people don't seem to understand what a favicon is, 16x16.
Our first choice was ScrappyTown. Unfortunately the domain was already taken and most domains that we could think of where also taken.
Since this web site is a hobby, I have a very low budget. In fact 100% of my budget is for design (this logo and I also plan to setup a couple more of contests for avatars in the future). My husband will setup the site in our basement with our current broadband account and that is pretty much it. If I try to buy ScrappyTown.com, it probably will cost in the hundreds or even more...
Besides, if in the future I can afford the domain, it shouldn't be to difficult to add a "p" to the logo (or so I hope).
