Thanks for the great work everyone, I have shown a selection of designs to my client and their preferences were for winstonstockholm, brightelephant and grade. Upon seeing these logos, they have made the decision to move away from a "racing" image to a more broader equestrian/horse image.

To put it plainly (not rudely!) the client feels that the text used in the logos are fine, but the images are a bit too simple and clipart looking. So any creativity you can add to your designs will be very warmly received.

    Hi Everyone,

Thank you to all of the designers who have entered thus far, your time and effort is appreciated :)

I'm impressed with the level of quality in this contest, though, as you can see, I have gone through "cleaned" up the contest. The entries that are shown for consideration are the direction I'm looking for.

I will be getting some feedback for you from my client tomorrow for the designs that are still shown for consideration.

    Best of luck to everyone!

    Cheers,
    Alan

    Hi Nouveau,

Whilst I am not a designer, I do a lot of work with Photoshop and Fireworks, mainly creating vectors with the pen tool... this is what I meant by my preference for vectors - not people just finding an image, then applying some filters and making it into a raster layer. My reason? Raster images do not scale very well at all, whereas vector images scale perfectly.

Mind you, I do see your point; I will remove "Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai)" from the contest details and I will make a note to include this explanation in future contests.

    Cheers,
    Alan

In the description you wrote that it must be in vector format, but neither .PSD nor .PNG are vector formats.

    Hi jpringle,

I do not have any preference for colours, so long as they fit under the "elegant" and "prestigious" banner.

    Cheers,
    Alan
