i vote for #142
i believe the designer used the lightning to symbolize power. I have never seen a power symbol which uses the lightning icon horizontally as shown in #193.
just take a look at this ... #155
I like them both. Both designs are well performed but I don't find them appropriate neither of them. The sign alone of #193 looks more like Z than e letter... And on the other side #142 looks like C3 to me rather than e letter again. So don't get me wrong, as I said both sign are great and effective but just not right for this E lineman matter.
But what is even more important to my opinion both signs are somehow not suitable for your business but instead for some companies that produce electrical or related products. So these signs alone remind me to much to some branded products rather than this Elineman issues.
I know that many wont agree with me and even some might find my comment malicious or something like that but your voting (sometimes lobbing) is much more irregular than my professional attitudes. Even though many can not understand that I know than there are many designers that will agree with me...
Anyway even this voting I don't find appropriate so I will not vote.
I think that it is ok to discuss about what is good and appropriate logo and what is less and therefor I agree with xdesign for giving you the link where you can learn but as well discuss here with us. But voting? I just don't agree.
What if one have more friends here than another one? Or opposite? This is just wrong in so many ways...
I know one thing though... I will never make my lobbies and always try to be objective because that is what we needed the most... For making good design and life as well...
