There are a lot of things that determine which contest a designer will enter. Prize money is one of the factors while design expectations and difficulty is another. It also has a lot to do with the initial ideas that pop into your head when thinking about what to design. For instance your company has an interesting name and you've allowed for a lot of creative freedom and that will normally get you more entries. Designers definately look at the history of a contest holder to see if winners are chosen and paid each time as well. Cheers!
questions for you designers. What makes you enter certain contests and not others? Why did my contest seem like it was worth your time? In looking at the other contests running right now it didn't appear that the $200 prizes had less competitors than the $400 prizes. Just trying to learn more so in the future I can have even better contests. Do you keep tabs on contest holders and look for them specifically in the future?
My wife pointed out a logo we both liked on a friend's website. Maybe everyone could check out verdegoev.com and see if that provides any inspiration. (no color blending of course)
