maybe if newyorkadwriter spent as much time designing better logos as he does whining like a little girl and trying to convince people his design is the best one out there, he might be able to come up with a winning design! LMMFAO!!!
@NEWYORKADWRITER, lol dude, you need to shut up (no offense). You are not helping yourself at all...
@NEWYORKADWRITER , LOL!!
@NEWYORKADWRITER, the whole point of a contest is to design something the CH wants, not to convice the CH to want something you designed. You got 2 stars for #1505 so instead of complaining, go back to the drawing board and improve your logo. Remember even if you think your design is the dogs, the ONLY opinion that matters is the CH's.
Geez people must really not like me, I keep getting negative scores, and I don't think I'm saying anything wrong. I'm just stating my opinion like everyone else. I guess I'll shut up then.
Please and thank you :)
I agree with some of the other designers like Logodendron. As I've said, I know with 1000+ entries its hard to really review them all, but if this is important, maybe the staff should rotate and give critiques and/or updates on what route they want us designers to take. We're busting our butts trying to make great designs, and from what I've seen there are A LOT, but most of us get dumped like its a piece of garbage with absolutely no explaination or which route we need to take.
Maybe update your brief with more examples of what you want, because it seems like leaving it to our imaginations doesn't quite work out for us.
I'm sorry if I came off rude or anything, I don't want to come off like that, but I'm stating my opinion, and even if we don't all personally get feedback, at least come back to the public forum more often and let us know what you're looking for.
To all the others who actually received 3 stars or even 2, congratulations! Keep up the good work.
Well said, Logodreden. This CH clearly has little interest in thought-provoking, simple, contemporary designs. Good luck to all the freshmen designers out there - you'll do great.
guys, this is not an it company, the letter d has no relevance to the logo and the image and feel it should display, try books, pages, clusters of letters for the icon, and i think a simple typeface would work.
just my opinion
NEWYORKADWRITER - thanks Sergio! :)
i know...... however after seeing over 1600 designs with literally hundreds of clever designs and interesting icons that get eliminated, i think perhaps this might win.
@michaelcampbell: I'm pretty sure the owner of one of the most visited site on the internet and the holder of a contest with a prize of $1000 would be able to make that logo as all you need to do is type dictionary.com into Word.
i think this is what you are looking for. it is simple yet effective. and ariel is by far the most simple font. #1652
It seems I started a trend with my #1612 ;)
