    So, if you were to enter a car design contest, you expect to be told exactly what the winning car looks like before hand. Of course not. Contests are supposed to have loose guidelines in order to promote some out of the box thinking. Sorry, but that's just my interpretation of what a contest should be. If strict guidelines were set, it would defeat the purpose of having a contest in the first place.

    zkiller take that to consideration that we won't choose a winner. we design for you. if we design for ourself we probably waste our time..

    The icon is not a necessity, if that's what you are asking. We really like the entry by squarelogo for instance and it doesn't have a icon. We really don't want to set to strict of a specification for a logo as it is a "contest" and not a contracted job. The idea of holding a contest is to get the creative juices flowing in order to get some out of the box ideas, that you might otherwise not come up with. Get creative. If this were your site, your project, your domain, what would you want the logo to look like?

    Are you more open to and Icon with Text, The text to form a symbol, or like text/initials before text? Is it just open for all and going to see what you like most probably? Just wonder because who knows, icons can be cool but the ideas never end :P

    lol i didn't win koldfyre, and thanks!!! I use Illustrator for 99% of everything, photoshop only for web layouts.
    i used illustrator for 2 years! :P

    Yeah, or he is desperate to sell a logo.. I think if you want to offer ROCK BOTTOM prices, then maybe you should open your own site and not try to take away from the contest being held here!
