comment was that u are not able to see the same color that the CH put it ass image. only the luckiest will get close enought variation at their screens.thats why i asked for #No.
@ vincentjdamico
Are you referring to the CH's comments? If so, they had earlier posted some colours that they liked in the main contest view but have since changed their minds and deleted it. So that comment wasn't aimed at any of the desingers.
people that design logos for 6-7 figures design logos in black and white. Color is not added to way later in the process. Who was the color comment made for?
pick me pick me! :)
This is my first time designing in this kind of way and i can already see the problems arising without a more specific brief. It's so open ended thats its causing a little doubt. Then again, i guess the doubt's there because everyone wants to have the best chance of winning that cash !
I think it is best we stick with the colours we have and then however wins will adjust the colours to your requirements
Funny enough, i was just thinking the same. Purple is notorious for being rubbish on dark colours. It's great if you can use it in Photoshop but it will have to be Pixel based.
I think those colors are not working too well :P Maybe it's best to remove them lol
Just curious i noticed one of the images numbered 2100ish rated.
Arent you going to mark the eliminated ones a 1 or just overwhelmed right now.
@Zen: show me the proccess (CMYK) printer that prints exactly the same the colors as you see them now in the brief and i will buy it. Of course, without using PANTONE colors. ;)
The colour subject seems to have become a little bit confusing, lots of the entries are simply colour variations. Perhaps once a concept is decided upon the winner could change to suit, it shouldn't be a problem. When i saw the colour update, i thought i was going to be able to hit Photoshop with some cool glow effects, but then i read the 4 colour pantone limitation!
Only found this site yesterday, i'm looking forward to putting some designs in..
I really like #1816 - if you made the number of "circles" a little less, so the Y tail was just a bit shorter and added a little more curve to it that would really rock. Nice work.
Logos #548 and #1242 are using imagery to showcase their logos that is copyrighted - which make me a little leery about the originality of their logos. Not that it isn't their work, just shows they aren't the smartest tools in the shed.
ulhats, using overprint & transparencies will solve all troubles, and not just that, theres million ways for, im 100% sure any prepress menager can handle gradients in 2 mins.
but i am wondering about the collourmenagment, its way better to have collours in numbers, im not quite sure that we all get the same display collours.
Glad we got colors to go off of now :)
Remember that the colors you are showing in the brief are RGB spectrum and hardly to be reproduced in print, unless you will use some special PANTONE colors. ;)
So, the glare and strong luminosity you see in there can only be acheived using a metalic coated color or using special effects over the logo: gradients, shaddows, layer transparencies, thing that will only cause trouble when printing.
