Description of business

*This is an unofficial contest run by 99designs!*

Yahoo! recently announced that it will be revealing a brand new logo design to reflect the major changes underway at the company. As Yahoo!'s chief marketing office said on the company's Tumblr, the new logo "will be a modern redesign that's more reflective of our reimagined design and new experiences."

Yahoo!'s redesign campaign involves displaying *a new logo design per day for 30 days* until the reveal of its official new logo on September 5th.

We thought it would be fun to get some engagement from our awesome community to redesign the Yahoo! logo.

We will be awarding one winner and displaying 29 of the very best and most unique entries on our blog in order to highlight the talent of the top 30 designers! We imagine Yahoo!'s 30 logo designs will be impressive, but also think our community - many of whom use Yahoo! daily - can give the company's design team a run for its money.

To read more about the Yahoo! redesign, check out the company's blog post:…-of-change

You can see a new Yahoo! logo each day here:

Further requirements

*This is an unofficial contest run by 99designs!*

We've uploaded Yahoo!'s current logo design, as well as the first design revealed for its "30 Days of Change" campaign.

- Yahoo!'s new logo will be a "modern redesign" of their current logo.

- Yahoo! reports that the redesigned logo will still be purple. But you're free to use any color palette you like!

- Yahoo! says their new logo will have a "fun, vibrant, and welcoming" feel to it.

What we'd like to see from designers in this contest:

- We would love to see you try something NEW and INNOVATIVE. Think outside the box! If you're a Yahoo! user, what logo design would speak to you?

- Yahoo! is sticking to their word mark look. You can do that if you'd like to, but feel free to try something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. What would the logo look like if it incorporated a character or an abstract mark?

Have fun, be creative, and let us know if you have any questions! :)
