RAPA's vision is to continue to educate youth in the performing arts by professionals in their field, so that they may pursue the arts as a career or to succeed in other professional vocations. Our goal is to grow in student enrollment and to continue to present a full season of shows to the community. Our artistic vision is to continue to raise more funds each year to keep up with the growing budgeting needs and renovations that can increase the artistic quality of our programs performances, as well insure we are able to continue offering more minority scholarships for youth. Our vision is also to reach a wider audience of people of color and race, to expand our number of minority performances and enrich our community of all cultures.

Overview
The Rochester Association of Performing Arts, (RAPA) Upstate New York’s oldest and largest professional school of performing arts for all ages, has served our Greater Rochester Area since 1978. RAPA, a non-profit 501c3 corporation, primarily trains students in theater, music/voice, and dance.
RAPA’s mission reflects its commitment to all persons interested in the arts, ages 4-adult, including disadvantaged youth and the community at large.
Its purpose is to:
“Provide professional training in the performing arts to talented children and adults who express an interest in learning skills for a career or for personal enjoyment (and) to provide alternative, positive directions for youth at-risk."
