one teeny tiny problem - darko - no way to reach out to you to work out the final details for the design and payment.

the winner of this contest - in a unanimous decision from the client - DARKO BOSNAR!
(and the crowd goes wild!)
would like to give honorable mention shout-outs to lynrite and geniuslogo - you guys made it a really really REALLY close decision!
DZynd4U and PreCoder bite me. (sorry - i tried to resist - but my maturity level is a little low this morning!)
:-)
Well I win some contest here...some have feedback, some not....ofcourse it is great to have some feedbak, but look, I do a lot of contest in real world and there you dont have any feedback...it is closed contest, you do your job and send that via postoffice, and just take the message from the company who is winner..it is just the way it go...
Sitepoint needs to level out the playing field
Who cares, either way you flip the coin it's heads or tails. They either don't provide any feedback to the entries and we lose out or they do provide feedback to every single entry only to tweak the logo to the exact finished work they'd like it to be. But only to then bail out on the contest without declaring a winner, and meanwhile they take off with our stolen work we're patiently waiting here with our thumbs up our ... waiting to see when the CH will come back on and declare a winner. You can't win...
Yeah, I also agree with DZynd4U, but after going over the guidelines myself just to refreshen my memory I noticed that the guidelines themselves are a bit shady in what they state. For instance if you go over to the contest holder's guidelines, it clearly states the the CH should make sometime everyday to give feedback to every single entry. Ok, but if you then go over to the Designer's guidelines you get this-
"While we strongly encourage that Contest Holders provide feedback to as many designers as possible, they're not obliged to do so - they may simply declare a winner instead and end the contest."
Notice where it says "they're not obliged to do so". What's up with that? These guidelines are not clear enough. They should either enforce it or say it's not mandatory. I mean it's the same thing to say "Yeah you have to leave some feedback to every entry, but if you don't feel like it, then that's cool don't worry about it."
I agree with DZynd4U, fair suck of the sav. If you are 'supposedly' turning over this much work that you need to subby out this kind of stuff than you need to follow the rules, use another forum should you wish to ignore them. I have designers as well, and if this is how you treat subby's, best of luck to you in the future, cause it will be short.
You will always get more bee's with honey mate. Seriously best of luck.
I don't know if you found the 2 designers you mentioned here at SP or at some other forum that hosts design contest, but one thing that has NOT changed here at SP, is one of the RULES of SitePoint regarding leaving feedback for each entry. I usually post the link and the rule, but this time I'm not. Go back and read them yourself, you couldn't have possibly missed that rule (it being at the top of the page and all).
CHs, here on SP, really need to stop with all the darn excuses about why you choose to ignore SP's rule. Wah! Wah! Wah! If it wasn't a rule here, then who cares. Everyone should know that information helps so, don't get snide with someone who is trying to get into the head of you or the client of their likes and dislikes. Every design is creative, but is it what the CH or CH's client desires? Who knows, until information fb is given. From my experience with how CHs across the internet run their contests when ignoring the rule of leaving fb (if applicable on the forum) leaving no fb mean two things: the client likes it and the client doesn't like it.
"It is not my goal or objective to help you become a better designer." You can't possibly believe that leaving feedback means that. Leaving fb simply is to aid the designer in creating a design that the CLIENT is envisioning for their business. And if the client has no inkling as to what or how they want their logo to be then fb on what they like and dislike is even more needed because hey it's either yours or their money they are spending for a logo. Leaving fb doesn't mean you've made the designer a better designer. Not everyone is psychic and can get it head on what the client is envisioning without even reading the summary or description. I see now, that was just another excuse of yours not to leave fb.
Like I told another, leaving excuses about not giving fb is merely laziness. The designers weren't lazy in creating a design for your contest so why do you in turn act as though it is going to kill you to leave feedback for their design? Saying that you don't like it, is still fb because like I mentioned before from my experience CHs say that no feedback means they like it and they don't like it. And everyone is not going to go through the list of thumbnails that have been possibly commented on by the CH, if that's what you expect.
Maybe you should tell people that you are going to ignore SPs rule at the top before submitting a contest. Oh, that's right you may not get a turn out if you do it that way. LOL!
Whatever, man or woman!
You can respond or not, who cares, I won't be back to possibly reiterate and/or explain what you don't get. One time post only.
