You didn't even bother to comment on my entries. This is frustrating, because despite I entered the contest almost at the end, I did a considerable effort. The least you could do was to say "I've already chosen my logo, THANKS"

    Best,
    João

I can handle rejection. Rude, arrogant and/or lazy, I cannot.

Yes, I saw that and I don't disagree with it, but it reads, overall, more like a strong suggestion and offers reasons to justify the practice. The line I quoted is in the Guidelines for DESIGNERS.

Just as an observation, if you have agency experience you know that clients range from those that want to be fully involved in a project all the way to those that reject initial concepts without any word at all and sometimes don't even give an opportunity to revise, you're just out. And anyone who has done design work in any type of setting, for any length of time, certainly learns that you have to develop a tough hide because there is a lot of rejection.

Plum Logo, I don't know where you found your quote, but this is from the Guidelines for Contest Holders:

    "Feedback
Make some time every day to give feedback on ALL designs submitted.

Feedback is like a currency in the Design Contests — the more you give to the designers, the more you will get from them in return. Let's face it, the designers aren't doing this just for the money, they want to know what you think of their work, and they want to improve. If you don't like a design, simply say so. Be honest, but always constructive. "

You know, feedback is nice, but I am also a part of a website called Worth1000. In their contests they hide ALL designs until the deadline, after the deadline, the logos are shown, then the client picks and chooses what design they like. Its kind of silly, but if the logo was VERY GOOD it would be picked.

While I agree that feedback IS definitely helpful to both designers and contest holders for various reasons. NeoXLT actually is NOT in violation of the guidelines. In Guidlines for Designers is this line...

"While we strongly encourage that Contest Holders provide feedback to as many designers as possible, they're not obliged to do so — they may simply declare a winner and end the contest."

And, in fact, while LogoB's comments in general are within is right to make them, this one..."contest is not worth it designers." may actually put HIM in violation of the guidelines for criticism of the contest holder and the way he is conducting the contest.

and you are running 2 contests right now, both with no feedback.
I hope you don't need a third because i think you will run out of credits with the community

it's not that you have to choose a bad logo but if you tell us WHY you didn't like it we know what to do and not do.
A logo is 50% YOU and 50% us designers. Now you are being lucky if you see one.

You shouldn't hold a contest if you have no intention of following the guidelines. LogoB isn't just complaining for no reason. Sitepoint sets rules for contests. Do you think they don't apply to you?

LogoB if you had the greatest design in the world, one that fit my company, one that I thought would help sell my business to the public. I would leave you feedback. If I had the need for 65 logos I would love to sit down and creatively criticize each one, but I don't. I need one. If I see one that I like and I can work with that designer to make the necessary changes that's what I'm going to do. If you have the time to redesign a logo that I'm not particularly fond of to begin with then all the power to you, you're only wasting both of our time. So feel free to re-post your entry and I'll let you know what I think. If not then be on your way. Thanks
