CloseDesign brief
Talking Tattoos is a membership based website which allows people to share the story behind their tattoo and what it means to them. At Talking Tattoos, we see tattoos as art, the skin as the canvas and the tattoo artist in the same respect as any great painter.
We are out to change the way people see tattoos and the people with tattoos. When people see that tattoos have a unique story that is personal to the wearer they will hopefully look at tattoos in a different way. Our goal is to teach people to judge the art and not the person.
http://talkingtattoos.com
Our audience is worldwide and anyone who has access to the internet. The majority of our members are generation Y but we do have a lot of Gen X also.
We see the website essentially having two types of audiences, people with tattoos and people without tattoos. We want the people with tattoos to appreciate the artwork of others whilst the people without tattoos to appreciate the tattoos and stories and see that they have meanings to the wearer, the tattoos may even inspire some people to get a tattoo themselves.
The logo must include:
The company name “Talking Tattoos”
Either one or two creatures which are half eagle and half horse (image attached)
The words "Veneratio Supernus" which is Latin for Respect Above
Overview:
We want you to create a logo for our new website design. Since we are out to change the way people see tattoos, the tattoo artists and the tattoo industry in general, we don’t want to see skulls, bones, skimpy girls, black or dark colors etc. The new website design is clean, modern and professional and hence we want the logo to reflect this new image.
The idea for our symbol being the creature of half horse half eagle reflects 3 keys words for us: Respect, Honour and Art.
Key Points of the design
I want the logo to include one or two creatures (half horse, half eagle) similar to the attached example (DesignImage).
The creatures should not show any aggression, they are respectful, showing power with elegance and poise.
The colors used should be earth colors, see attached image (image002) as an example of the colors.
The company name "Talking Tattoos" should appear on the logo.
The words "Veneratio Supernus" must also appear on logo.
The aspect ratio of the image will be roughly 1.5:1, as an example if it is 100cm wide it will be 50cm high.
The image will be in PNG format.
Do not use clip art.
An idea for this was a Coat of Arms but don't limit yourself to this.
