Thank you all for your creative and diverse talent. I have marked our top design selections with 5 stars. Honestly, we felt that regardless of the design selected as the winner, we would be missing something from other of the other top designs. However, we felt that #38 brought the best design to the table for our needs. If I can answer any questions, please let me know. Thank you all very, very much. This contest has proven some of the heights of creative development that 99designs can offer with your help. Thank you all very much and God bless.

I apologize for how long this is taking. There are just soo many good designs. I've filtered it down to just a handful. I will have a winner selected by tomorrow. I need to ensure that with all the great talent on the board, I pick the best one that represents our company. If I can answer any questions in the mean time, please let me know. Thank you very much for your patience and awesome creativity.

Thank you all for all the awesome and creative designs you have made. I am literally stunned at the talent on the table. I will try to go through and rate/re-rate, comment, and eliminate all designs other than the winner I select as fast as I can. If you have any questions, I will try my best to respond to each of them.

After reading all these comments going back and forth, I have to have my say. I do not feel that the CH has stifled the creative process. In fact, as designers we should look at this as a challenge and find solutions to best serve the CH, as he also is the customer. I worked in the printing and design field for over 15 years and more times then I can remember, we had to come up with creative solutions for customers - many already having their own ideas and asking us to come up with the best, creative designs to convey their ideas. Sometimes you do have customers that don't have any idea what that want, but more often that is not the case. I feel a lot of the younger designers on this site feel they should have completed creative freedom and "please don't stifle" my creative process attitude. None of this is being said to offend everyone, but I wanted to put my input about the "realities" of the design world. No offense to the CH, as I support his ideas and he only asking us to expand on those ideas.

Thank you one597 for you comments. I appreciate the comments and feedback from the designers that has aided me in understanding you creative processes better. The creative work that everone has been doing is just jaw dropping. I'm not sure how I will be able to pick the best star out of the sky. I humbly thank you all for you creativity. I will ensure that I post feedback to each of you designs even if it is eliminated.

hello team, it's fun to explore the cross and s & c. so let's go creative based on the brief. i try to think that the brief is not a boundaries. it's a challenge.

My apologies to any designer if my specs have stunted or hindered your creative process. That is not and was not my intent. I kept thinking of a scenario like the koehler commercial where the buyer brought a stylish faucet to a high profile designer and said "build a house around this." I have updated the brief to simply state that the "i wants" were my general idea but to please lean on your own creative processes more than the "requirements" per say. So once again, my apologies and thank you for your detailed explanation JayKay.

Thank you very much JayKay for taking the time to explain this to me in a professional way. Your explanation is very helpful. I will update the brief to try and remove some roadblocks in the creative proccess. Once again, thank you!

TSC: I think the problem some people have had with your brief is that it does entirely stifle any creativity at all. You've categorically stated that you want the letters TSC, with the T being a cross. Not only is this unoriginal and has been done a billion times, it's incredibly uninspiring. There's only so many ways to draw a cross.

The idea of hiring a designer is that you engage in their creative input (which is probably based on a whole lot more professional experience than yours), rather than telling them what to do. This opens you up to many different concepts (perhaps even one you hadn't thought of, and actually fits your requirements better), instead of just one concept done 50 different ways. You wouldn't go to an electrician and tell him exactly how to fix the wiring in your house. You trust his professional judgement to do the job properly. These kind of briefs can inhibit that.

    That is all!

Hello team, I have much to address.

    1. Prize amount of $100. There have been many postings in here regarding a "low" prize that sometimes comes across as unworthy of effort. I have scanned across 99designs at other $100 logo design contests and the ratio of effort/creativity/entry to prize complaints is almost non-existent. I can only assume at this point that it has to do with the subject matter at hand. I appreciate the comment stating that a good cause might be worth waiving the prize amount. While there are some scenarios where that kind of donation of effort is right on the money, I don’t offer this competition as one. However, Whomever the winner is will "have" to accept payment or I will refuse to receive and utilize their artwork. It was said "a worker deserves his wages". Regarding a religious company "ripping off" starving artist, I feel your concern. I would recommend that you redirect that passion into your work. The truth is pricing is up to the market which is designer's skills, experience, and situation against the CH's financial capability for the project. However, in short I always prefer to fund projects so that it isn't "starving". I have made arrangements to be able to change the offer to $200. For the good of this competition, I would suggest that the team focuses on the task at hand since I have reached my financial cap for this project and will be unable to tend to requests or pleas for an increase in the prize amount. If there are other “non-financial” areas of value I would be open to those discussions. For example, providing some means of public credit for artwork or the like.

    2. Pay via Paypal? Yes, if the winner prefers to be paid via PayPal I will get setup and send payment that way.

    3. A comment was made "How very dare those people play it this way? Leave the God outside the competition and be just decent CH in the first place." TSC is not a non-profit organization that focuses on playing on people’s hearts to donate. So far the only statements made that revolve around a potential "donation" scenario is the word "christian" placed in my discussions and brief. However, the word "christian" was used as a fact and as a means to communicate context.

    4. Ziggy, I have notice in this contest and multiple others that maybe you would be a beneficial force for 99designs to aid in providing a counter balance and a political voice for designers. From what I have seen you are currently trying to express and communicate these points of view in individual contests. However, I don't believe it is being as beneficial as the efforts you are putting into them. So far, it creates a small area of awareness but due to some etiquette and professional mannerisms it only stirs up competitions and hinders progress both for the CH and for the designers. While I know some of your purpose is for the other designers, so far it seems that the "stirring" is actually hindering other designers. Part of a crowdsource contest is the ability for the workers (or designers in this situation) to have the ability to grow and hone their skills. While it is partially about money, it is an incredible learning resource. In no other setting can you have the opportunity to utilize your skills where other designers are doing the same and against the same "specs" in such volume and real-world projects. While I appreciate your efforts, I hope that you will take time to reflect and continue on your push for designers in a new a more powerful way. I just wanted to recommend a resource that might aid in your professional growth, Dale Carnegie. He has several great, great books that aid in expressing means to accomplish your goals when dealing with the "people" factor. In any accord, good luck!

    5. Regarding "long list of specs", in most professional situations the customer has some idea of what they want. I agree that too many spec requirements stunts the creative process. However, not having enough specs sometimes just wastes everyone’s effort which is really unfortunate. So it is either, stunting creativity or lack of efficiency. Difficult balance. Per your comment, I have gone back over my specs to see if I am being overly specific. I believe that it is currently a decent guideline as to what I have in mind. Still, thank you for the suggestion to review the specs.

    6. This is a question for the all the designers in this competition. Since this is my first time utilizing 99designs, what types or checklist of items would you like me to ensure that I provide in your design feedback? This is above me responding to your comments that you individually leave. Since this arrangement is also a learning process, I believe that I owe it to all of you to respond in a manner that allows you to grow. I know how it feels to make something just to be turned down without a good enough explanation of why. It doesn't help.
