Hey RS,
I actually saw his logo on Monday which is when i just put it up there to see how it looked within the theme. Once I decided I liked it, I was going declare him a winner, but I wasn't sure if I was able to declare a winner early considering this was my first sitepoint contest. However, I think I am able to do that in the future.
Anyway, Thank you everyone for all of your submissions, but the winner really captured what I was looking for.

Any chance that you are willing to go for a more 'glamour' approach to this title, than that of the more 'grungy' styles that have so far been submitted?
I disagree. I would say you are basing this on past history, but it appears tht you have never attempted to enter a contest before. So what exactly are you basing this on ???? :(

I've noticed a lot of people are using the film strip for the header outline. That isn't required. The only reason the film strip is there right now is as a place holder for while I move around things in the theme. So if you completely eliminate the film strip, its not a problem.
Quick Update - If you can some how manage to include an icon in the logo design. Maybe something with DH as the icon as well as Derek Hail ... we could totally just skip the whole "stealing celebrity dignity and fame."
Oh, Oops, if its for personal use, don't use the font, but if something looks similar to that, that would be great as well.

you see that it is for only personal use but I guess if you are willing to pay the author he will give you the rights of using that font in your logo.

Also, I just found a font that I think is pretty cool if someone wants to try a logo with it.
