Thanks for the entries.
We haven't got as much feedback as we'd like - we'll talk to our client on Tuesday (office is closed for Easter) and either choose a logo or reopen.

If you go to the website: www.urstar.com you will see the '3d' elements of the product.
Another general tip for all: The DVDs will feature 3D models, and all the logos so far are looking very 2D.
Overall comments on all designs so far: They look a bit old-style, and not much different to the existing logo. We're looking for something fresh and exciting here.
You could consider including a shooting star, an old-school filmstrip, or some sort of movie prop. Aim to be modern and catchy, and remember to include the phrase "U.R the Star".
Also consider that this logo will be used on the website, letterhead, and business card - so it'll have to work reasonable well at small sizes.
Here is my first attempt.
