Thank you everyone for being part of this competition and for all of your hard work and creativity. Apologies for the delay with the web design decision, it was really, really tough. Thanks again. FYI I will be holding a label design contest soon! Have a great day. MissPixie.
Thank you everyone for all of your time and effort. There really are some great people out there!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Hi everyone, As you can see I've picked a winner for the logo design. The web and stationary is still open based on the logo. I have extended the competition for these elements to give web designers enough time, now that there is some direction. With the web design, although the logo is purple and grey, I would like to see some other colurs introduced. The key is clean, fresh, contemporary and not too cluttered. Pls see complete brief for what is required for the web design. I have also increased the prize money as I would like a home page design and lower level page. Pls see brief.
Thank you very much everyone for being part of the logo design contest.
Me again. general comments on colour-i'd recommend not having black/red combination as these are traditional auto colours and are generally not appealing to women in this industry. I'm looking for something fresh, clean, friendly.
With the image of the women I'd like to see a modern cartoon style perhaps using more than 2 colours. If basing it on me is too hard, just think of a general image of a women.
With the typeface pls make the name as legible as possible. Contemporary, clean, legible.
Yes, I can pay by cheque. Sorry for the late response.
General comment. The site is for everyday women requiring help with their car purchase decision. They are not car enthusiasts. The idea of speed, or hot rods would not appeal, nor would sexy images/silhouttes of women. Clean, fresh, contemporary, uncomplicated would be good.
Thanks everyone. I'm having a lot of fun and eagerly await new entries or revised entries.
Just woke up. It's 6am in Australia. Thank you for your comments.
I'll do Paypal, bank desposit and CC for payment, to answer those questions.
Yep it makes sense to have the logo sorted before the web design so I'll aim for that. Thank you for all of your work so far!.
I will be submitting a web and logo design within the next 48 hours.
Can you pay by cheque ?
Can you pay by cheque ?
Misspixie - Generally electronic transfers as well as using westernunion are very expensive fees wise. Not many contest holders use this method for payment - however, if they decide to go this route, they generally ask the designer to pay the transfer fee (or it comes out of the contest prize money).
--
Your best and cheapest method of payment would be to set up a paypal account - quite easy to do, you will need to supply a credit card number and make sure that you elect to pay in funds other than aussie funds - $US dollars is best. You can go via the AU site. www.paypal.com.au

Hope this helps

Is the current site you linked to yours? I actually like the look of it as it stands right now :-) Do you want to use the same colouring as that site in your new look webdesign? Just a suggestion: it would be more practical to award a winner for the logo first, so that way the web designers can work off that logo concept for the webpage... seems to work better that way when there are multiple sections to a contest such as this one.

to misspixie: paypal is safe method and low charge.. the most commonly used and safest for money transactions == www.paypal.com . And western union is very common too with global transfers around banks everywhere in the world but it's charge you rather high fees. you can transfer money via online ( www.westernunion.com) or go to bank by yourself. Just visit their sites for further info. i hope that can explain.
Not sure how paypal and western untion work. If you let me know that would be cool............
would you consider Paypal? Thank you.
would you consider western union in payment?
Just a general note, to differentiate my brand form the competitors, I'd like to have an illustraion of a women as part of the logo (based on an image of me which you will find on our site at www.hercar.com.au.) Think along the lines of www.msmegabyte.com.au but not necessarily the colours. Thanks again.
