The Studio at Penny Lane picked a winning design in their logo design contest

For just $495, they received 109 designs from 23 designers.

A former colleague mentioned crowdsourcing a logo which got me thinking about doing it for my own company. I went into this process with low expectations, figuring the risk was low. What I got back has transformed my perspective. I was blown away by the talent and loved being able to see different interpretations of our brand and a range of logo expressions. 99designs has created an amazing environment to get the most out of the experience -- from a design brief that helps focus the project to encouraging feedback during the process. The user experience is seamless and customer service is incredibly responsive. I'm already planning to use 99designs again. — Kyounglevi

Further requirements

We will be relying heavily on online channels to promote our products (website, etsy, pinterest, etc). It's important that the logo is able to fit in, but also stand out within venues like etsy. We're really open to color and design ... and hoping for something fresh and memorable.

We attached some rough photos of some of our glass and pillow designs.

Our audience is not fully defined, but we believe that it's likely to be women who are interested in unique home accessories and jewelry, but looking for affordable pieces. We believe our audience will skew younger (~29-45) and live in or near an urban area.

We played with a design that tried to connect our brand a little to The Beatles' song. We've attached the file (powerpoint) and a jpeg from the actual Penny Lane sign in Liverpool. Please forgive the bad execution (we're definitely not logo designers), but wanted to share it with you in case it sparked some ideas.

Thank you so much for your interest and your help! We're really excited about this contest.
