Report design for...
CloseDesign brief
We are a small, fast moving start-up company that is developing software for physicians-in-training (residents). Residents are very busy, work long hours and perform numerous tasks throughout each work day. They also consistently work in teams.
Our software will help them organize their work, access vital information on the go, share information with their teammates and communicate medical plans more efficiently and effectively. The software will function on both web based and mobile platforms (iPhone, Blackberry etc.).
The name of our company "Touch Consult" reflects a few common and fundamental elements of medicine in general and our business in particular. "Touch" implies both the hands on, caring aspect of "the healing touch" in medicine as well as the tactile element of using a PDA such as an iPhone. "Consult" is a common term used in medicine that describes when one professional seeks cousel from a specialized colleague. We aim to be the specialists in this line of software
Touch Consult
The audience is
1. Residency directors: mid-career physicians who are responsible for resident training programs, very busy multi-taskers who are committed to physician education. They make the purchase decision and we will be directing our direct sales efforts at them.
2. Residents: these are the actual users and the ones who benefit from the software, but do not make purchase decisions. They are in their twenties and thirties generally and work very closely in hospital based teams.
The logo will be used on our website and electronic marketing materials (e.g. mass emails) as well as business cards.
As a software company, paper letterhead will only be occasionally used and probably more likely as part of a PDF computer-generated invoice.
The output should therefore be available both as high-res and low-res PNG and PDF, as well as a CMYK EPS file for printers. If possible, a B&W version, with good contrast preservation would be great for printed invoices.
We are looking for a logo that reflects the dynamic, high tech nature of software combined with the human touch of compassionate medical care. We are looking for a clean, uncluttered design.
