Nice one Roktiv!
As a side bet, i say that something without creativity and a stock font will win this one :)

An alternative to having the dog could be to use a graph (refrain from using an upwords pointing arrow, it's cheesy). It comunicates the financial feel I want over the site.
Please do not use a paw print in the logo, it gives the impression it's a petstore.
Refering to the design brief, please put emphasis on communicating the following values:
SERIOUS (as opposed to playful)
QUIET (as opposed to loud)
SIMPLE (as opposed to complex)
OBVIOUS (as opposed to subtle)
The point of the dog in the logo is that it should be able to be used as a standalone logo without the text. Example: The nike logo which can be used as standalone or combined with the "nike" text.
The other solution is off course to highlight one of the letters in "betdog" whoch can be used as a standalone logo. Like the "e" in the betradar logo you can find in logo examples in the design brief.
