By no means i said that Mary's design was not good. I also liked it. just the thought came after seeing just two stars on it . Mary's design, the winner, deserves more :)

stormjem - sent you a pm, wanted to thank you publicly also. I appreciate your positive reinforcement and moral support. This site does have a group of meglomaniacs that only know how to criticize and it's nice to have some balance to that negativity. I've taken to heart what you wrote here and in your PM, as well as comments from others kind enough to share their time and thoughts. It's interesting to see how many people shared my opinion of the site point bullies and that I wasn't alone. I know I've got to get a thick skin and maybe because we never see anyone face 2 face on here it's easier to be nasty but i'm learning to deal with it. thanks again! best wishes on all your sitepoint endeavors! monkey:)

Well done monkeymase and very well said. Have fun with your new endevour and if your history is any indication, you will become as successful with this venture as you have with all the others. I would have to say I envy your ability to perfect your talents. As for the designs I did many years ago ... I actually cringe when I see them ... just a few months ago I ran into someone I had designed a logo for years and years ago. It was horrid ... absolutely horrid and I had often thought about doing another for him. As it was he had just sold his business and he commented on how he had kept the same logo for all these years and how much he loved it. It goes to show you that you can't know what people will like or love or hate. Can any of us decide what is good and what isn't? What we thought was awesome when we started out we all hate now ... I doubt there is a designer alive that can dispute this. Design is very personal and an evolution of self as all art is ... to critise another is to be ashamed of where you came from. Remembering your beginnings keeps you humble. I admire you monkeymase and you keep it up.
