if you ask me, istockphoto is THE biggest pool of plagiarism on the planet. Most of the vector ideeas are from here (except for illos, these are harder to reproduce):

    i find these

    http://www.istockphoto.com/file_clo…id=1756046

    and these

    http://www.istockphoto.com/file_clo…id=3225033

these are from sodafish and skahlina

the firs one is closer to my skewer design, she second is closer to my colors. I think they should pursue eachothers for similar ideeas...

Someone send a message to the CH regarding my entry:

"Hello Lyn I'm what people call a design copyrights guard and in your contest I see a threat to your company. The entry from the contestant Sipher69 came out of the Istockphoto gallery as you can see in the following link, the entry has the same color scheme and idea which makes it plagiarism.

    http://www.istockphoto.com/file_clo…id=3225033

I hope I was of any help and I'll be around checking for more illegal entries. Design ideas may be simple and people can say I could have done that, The thing is that if it exist it's because someone thought about it first."

Well "The page you are looking for no longer exists. "

If someone finds something on istockphoto please post it here so we ca all compare.

My skewer's and colors ideea is from here (you can also search for skewers on google):
    http://images.google.ro/imgres?imgu…l%26sa%3DG

What is curious is that i shouldve been the one recieving first the "plagiarism message", so i can respond in time.

    Best luck to all!

Am i the only one that sees the EXACT flame pattern in Mikev1's work and arsenal30 #2 (which was actually submitted before Mikev1's)?

I Like MikeV1 Logo both version 1 and 2. It is versatile enough that you can use it both as a vertical or horizontal layout. It would look great with B/W reproduction or even for embroidery since it is simple enough yet impactful. I would look at changing the Q on the BBQ however since I can see that potentially being a problem.

Looking at other logos - intrepidguppy logo looks like an existing local BBQ dealer logo. Also ah.gdco logo looks too similar to BBQ Galore which is a national company - it is not exactly like it but the second I saw it, it reminded me of it.

I agree with Seasun on the other top contenders for the logo.

    Good luck.

I'm in the right room. I just wanted to give my opinion since I work with logos all day long. I also like MikeV1. Your logo is very good. Clean and simple.

wootbeast looks like a smoothie shop for little girls.(our team of marketing designers agree) The best ones are the skewer by sipher69 first followed by ah.gdco and pringles20. But the skewer is more versitile in usage.
