His logo was not really anything I had in mind. It was just an original idea and you could tell it was custom work. I am not ending the contest because I wanted to be fair to anyone out there who might still be working on a design. If I see something better, then I will pick the best one.

Someone finally submitted an entry I'm happy with picking; clarklab #3. I will wait 24hrs for anyone else who was working on a new entry. I could still change my mind, but its got to be an original, quality design.

To all, I extended the contest a few days because I had several people ask for more time who were working on new entries. This will be the only extension. When the time is up, I will pick a winner. Thank you everyone for all the entries.

Contest is still active. The system put it on hold because no feedback was left for rachelp who has removed all her entires. I don't know how to fix this now. I sent a request into sitepoint staff.

Sorry for the delay, but I posted feedback on every entry that had none. I'm still looking for more entries. I have yet to see the design that makes me say "wow". PM me with any questions or comments.

If you are talented but lacking ideas, you could try and imitate either one of these logos.

http://www.churchs.com/ - Could use red, black, grey colors. Could use the end of the Q to wrap around and encompass the heroes.

http://www.buffalowildwings.com/ - Could replace the buffalo with a longhorn or something.

I'm not asking you to rip these but they are examples of what I would call a "complete" design. They pull the text together with a common symbol that flows. If I was to glance at either one of these I would recognize what company it is without having to read it. The entry from rachelp is the only one to even come close to this so far.

A symbol is not required to accompany the text but I have not seen a text design that is strong enough to stand on its own. After reviewing a lot of other logos I can say I'm a little partial to a star symbol.

They are two separate things. I am not concerned with them matching. They might not even appear on the same page. The mascot is just something extra for fun.

I have been putting feedback on every entry, but I think I'm going to stop for now. I haven't seen anything I like yet so I'm just going to sit back for awhile and hope I get some more submissions.

I am looking for original ideas. I do not want stock fonts that just have a few photoshop effects applied to them. I want original content. I know how to use photoshop and could have created any of the entries submitted so far, but I have no creativity and hate everything I create.

Any ideas on how I could attract more entries?
