design police, why dont you design something instead of criticizing everyone elses..

for all of you doing logos on a brown background...what if the CH wanted to some day put this logo on a letterhead? would the paper have to be dark brown as well? i was always taught that a logo should work on any background.

Wow, I have only been using this site for a little over days now, is this high school behavior typical? lol... one thing I have noticed is the extensive amount of "copying" or "similar" pieces... I however would like to give the CH the benefit of the doubt in assuming that they are well aware of the fact that there is an order to the submissions and obviously the first ones would have to be the originals. At least I hope that is the case! At any rate, it doesn't really matter because ultimately in one way or another everything is an inspiration from something else right? Not so much "truly" original anything anymore is there? (for instance thick lines around font... pretty synonymous with "childlike" things) Sorry, just had to throw in my two cents...

Agreed. It was wrong for me to taunt back..but when I work so hard on my designs it's hard not to. Either way I apologize. And I don't post all of my designs because some people in the 99designs community DO indeed copy and rely on others for creativity and I prefer to submit my entries in private to avoid that. And that is my right. But for the record, similarities don't imply copying ;)

Wow. Look at all the hub-bub.

First and foremost I want to say that I am rather fond of Firemisu's submissions. Not so much the heart one, but the green ones are cool and a refreshing change of pace imo.

Secondly, thank you to Urich for your private message explaining yourself. However, regardless of whether you copied me or not, I don't think anything gives you the right to tell other designers they are pathetic and talentless. How was firemisu to know that you were privately submitting your entries to the Contest Holder? You should be posting all of your designs up here just like everyone else. Of course he thought you were copying me when they turn out to be so similar.

All in all I wish you would all stop your bickering. It's not the first time I have seen this happen and it probably won't be the last so everyone just relax and let the best (and most creative) designer win.

P.S - nice submission.....LOL!

Befere you start to have a case of diarrhea at the mouth, I was working on my design since the contest started and submitted PRIVATELY to the CH clear before I EVER saw work palmateer did.

So let's see...he wants a baby oriented logo and I used bubbly-outlined font? how wrong of me..

You are truly pathetic...leave us real designers alone and know what you're talking about before you open you talentless mouth ;)
