i agree Bombardier..i am actually disappointed with the direction this contest took.
The brief stated that the CH would actually prefer not to be distinctly labelled as dealing only in trucks, yet the logos that are the most generalized high quality auto die cast seem to be getting lower scores than the ones that scream truck.
also i think there are some extremely complicated designs here that would prove difficult to print and use at realistic sizes. Some companies get caught up in the notion that the logo should tell EVERYTHING about a company, but i believe that a good logo captures the core essence of the brand in a less literal way.
You know looking at all the grill designs makes me think this
is not a diecast trucks logo but a logo for Semi Grill part
store. The host wanted to show what they sell but look at Mack,
Peterbilt and other truck logos and they don't even have a truck
in the logo. So any good looking design could be used but the
more you specialize in design the more you lock yourself to one
service that people remember.

Hey DesignMan!
Have you considered entering this contest?
lol.
#63 is great, better than many others..
Silverleaf, I think your #84 is perfect. If I were running this show, that's the one I'd pick. I'm still going to try my luck, though.
Bob your absolutely right that the logo was a 3D Rendering so they can easily resize it to fit any size needs.
You know looking at the web site that this logo is going on, chrome is not the best choice to use. Also it will
never print out right if the host wants to use it for any business stationary needs. This is just my professional
opinion.
I seen a mention in a feedback of the concept along the lines of the
Movie Logo in "Cars". Mr. Minitrucks I hope you know that the logo
was created in Softimage XSI 6 which is a 3D model software. That means
it is not vectored design but a 3D model. Just thought I point that out.

WOW. After seeing some incredibly hot designs get smashed for a lousey star i feel for you guys. Even if it wasnt the direction the CH wanted, a few stars or a few words on what an amazing job would go a long way for the time you must have put in to these. Good job..
Thank you Bob but I think your #54 is way better then my trucks. I like that new design of yours.
Wow, Silver that is truly hot design wise. Truly another great design! ~Bob
Check out the website @ www.AwesomeDiecast.com to see the logo
Hi: Just go to web and type in awesome diecast. The site I was on was basically just copy.
I'm also curious to see the 'old logo'.
Can you show us the old logo?
