In an effort not to waste talent and time of the designers... we held a meeting today to decide on whether we thought a design had any potential for further consideration. At this point there are only two designs that we think hold potential for our use.

Most of the work is very well done and professional and we appreciate everyones time and effort in this contest.

Thanks again to all of you. We should be making a decision tomorrow or Tuesday.

Yes GW... I have to admit dumples #9 design has taken all bets off the table.... Borzoids #4 design was right on target with what we requested but there is an inherent issue with people giving too much instruction to designers. The issue: it does not allow for full creative license. In this case, I'm glad dumples ignored the instructions and just did what he wanted... it looks awesome.

I have a couple of people that need to see #8 and #9 and unless something comes in between now and Monday or Tuesday we will pull the trigger on one of these.

Even though the contest is only 4 hours old... I thought I would offer some open feedback to those who have submitted designs so quickly. I hope that it helps the process in some way and thank each of you for your quick turnaround.

#1 - Nice corporate look but we want something more stylish...
#2 - Like the bold letters and the colors are good, don't see a tie-in to the star or the sphere
#3 - Like the look of the sphere but don't see a tie-in to our branding effort... reflection is well done, would choose a different font... overall quality of work is high.
#6 - This is good work and easy to understand - BUT - too detailed and intricate for golf shirts, letterhead etc. We're looking for something more simple and bold.
#4 - Demonstrated a clear understanding of what we did and did not want. Great interpretation of our description. Tied everything together and defined four customer groups in the logo... This one receives high marks.
