Design is not always about the best art - it is more often than not, about what is fit for use. RCBC is a small bowling club with a board of directors average age 60+. The design that they chose is modern enough for them, and is easy to read (with or without their bi-focals) The winning design is not going to win major industry awards, but it won this contest, and the little bowling club will be happy putting it on their new business cards. Business objectives will be achieved with this design.

Thanks everyone for entering. It was a small but very effective contest. I appreciate all the work each of you did, and hope you learned something, even if you did not win. There were some great entires, especially considering a lot of you are not in Australia, so might have found it hard to relate to the style the client was after.

In the end, the winning design was very strong and modern with a positive, very readable font for the main two words. The whole design was just simple, clean and strong. However we did modify it afterwards and you can see the finished logo in a week or so on the site.

We are very happy with this process, the client is happy, and I certainly look forward to more of this exciting forum of creativity and learning.
